PAD: The cushion under your carpet is one of its most important components. It is the base that helps your carpet retain its texture and appearance. Pad is sold by density & height. A cushion that is too soft will adversely affect the performance of the carpet. A pad that is too tall interferes with the anchoring of the carpet to the tack strip.
